WATERLOO, Ontario--Jan. 1, 20058, 2005--Ridetones, the latest product offering from IMS, was unveiled last week at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, and it created quite a stir.

According to Molly Wood, Senior Editor for CNET, Ridetones was "the second-biggest news of the week, and the product everyone's talking about."

Ridetones is an automotive customization product that brings MP3 quality song clips, sounds and sound effects to the car for various functions such as the car's alarm or remote keyless entry system to unlock or lock the vehicle or to open the trunk.

The Ridetones device comes with a speaker and software and is easily installed under the dashboard. You go to the Ridetones website to select the music or sounds you want, or create your own sounds, and then transfer them to the device via several options including wirelessly, using your mobile phone or PDA, or directly to the device through the computer's USB port. The Ridetones device can be programmed according to many variables such as time of day, date, temperature, your Outlook calendar etc. - to play certain songs or sounds at various times or days - for example a special birthday message, an appointment reminder, or just your favorite song.

Ridetones will be available in late March, 2005 through major auto after-market suppliers and selected electronics stores in North America. On The Edge Marketing of Lake Forest, California has been appointed the exclusive North American marketing agent for Ridetones.
