KTM North America, Inc. Selects ARI's PartSmart Electronic Parts Catalog; Selection Expands ARI's Presence in the Power Sports Industry
MILWAUKEE--Jan. 1, 20058, 2005--ARI (OTCBB:ARIS), a leading provider of electronic catalogs and related technology and services to increase sales and profits for dealers in the manufactured equipment markets, announced today that KTM North America, Inc. of Amherst, OH has authorized ARI's PartSmart(TM) electronic parts catalog software for use by their dealers throughout North America.Under the agreement, ARI will manage, convert, distribute and support KTM's parts catalogs for their complete line of off-road racing motorcycles and consumer-focused models for their PartSmart catalog. In addition, ARI will market the PartSmart catalog to KTM's authorized dealers in the U.S. The first KTM catalog is expected to be available in February, 2005.
"When ARI presented us with the opportunity to provide all of our dealers with access to the most up-to-date, accurate parts and service information, the decision was easy to make," said Jon-Erik Burleson, vice president of finance for KTM. "With nearly half of our dealers currently using PartSmart for other lines they carry, it made perfect sense to work with ARI to make our catalogs available on PartSmart. We are confident that PartSmart will help our dealers provide an even higher level of service to their customers," concluded Burleson. According to Burleson, KTM plans to publish updates to the PartSmart catalog twice per year.
"We are very pleased to provide the KTM parts and service catalog to authorized dealers," said Brian E. Dearing, chairman and chief executive officer of ARI. "Since many of KTM's dealers already use PartSmart for one or more of their other equipment lines, we expect that dealers will quickly add the KTM catalog to their PartSmart subscription," added Dearing.
"The addition of KTM to ARI's growing list of blue chip customers, including Arctic Cat, Bombardier, Harley-Davidson, Honda (Marine), Kawasaki, Polaris, Suzuki and Yamaha, expands our presence in the Power Sports Industry," added Dearing. "I believe this is a tribute to the quality and value of PartSmart, which is used by over 10,000 dealers worldwide who sell and service Power Sports equipment. We welcome the opportunity to work together with KTM to produce their first and future PartSmart catalogs," concluded Dearing.
