MECACHROME INTERNATIONAL HOSTS CARPENTIER'S HOMECOMING
MONTREAL - January 14, 2005 - MECACHROME International, the world's
leading aerospace, production vehicle and motorsport integrator,
today hosted racecar driver Patrick Carpentier's first public
appearance in Montreal since the Joliette native signed with Red Bull
Cheever Racing in the Indy Racing League (IRL) IndyCar" Series last
October.
The media conference, which was held at the Montreal International
Auto Show, was designed to update Canadian media on Carpentier's
progress since October, as well as introduce Mecachrome
International's involvement with both Carpentier and Red Bull Cheever
Racing.
Speakers included Ken Ungar, Senior Vice-President of Business
Development for the Indy Racing League and François Messier,
Vice-President of Programming of RDS television, who confirmed that
the entire IRL schedule would be broadcast on RDS in 2005. TSN will
also broadcast the IRL races this season.
Also addressing the media were Red Bull Cheever Racing team owner,
Eddie Cheever Jr. and Guillaume Casella, President of Mecachrome
International.

Mecachrome, a technical partner to Red Bull Cheever Racing, proudly
introduced a futuristic Mobile Engineering Center (MEC) at the 88th
running of the Indianapolis 500 in 2004. The first of its kind in the
IRL IndyCar" Series, the MEC serves as the control centre for
engineers working with Red Bull Cheever Racing drivers Patrick
Carpentier and Alex Barron

Carpentier will be on hand at the Montreal Auto Show to sign
autographs at noon on Saturday at the Mecachrome booth on the seventh
floor. The Red Bull Cheever Racing car will been on display for the
duration of the Auto Show.
