Zimmerman Resigns From Goodyear Board of Directors
AKRON, Ohio, Jan. 14, 2005 -- The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company today announced that its Board of Directors has accepted the resignation of James M. Zimmerman. The retired chairman of Federated Department Stores, Zimmerman requested that his resignation be effective immediately.
Robert J. Keegan, Goodyear chairman and chief executive officer, said, "the Board accepted Jim's resignation with regret given the innumerable valuable contributions that he has made to the company and the high level of professionalism that he has demonstrated during his service to Goodyear."
The company will release no further information.
