ATLANTA, Jan. 13, 2005 -- All 204 U.S. and Canadian Porsche dealers are poised to welcome the arrival of the all-new 2005 Porsche Boxster and Boxster S to their showrooms this Saturday, January 15. In anticipation of the introduction of the first new Boxster in eight years, these dealers have planned a wide variety of celebrations to unveil the new models to their many customers.

"With the launch of the new 2005 Porsche Boxster and Boxster S, our dealers now have an up-to-date roadster that is only rivaled in appeal by its larger siblings, the Porsche 911 Carrera and 911 Carrera S," said Peter Schwarzenbauer, president and CEO of Porsche Cars North America, Inc. and Porsche Cars Canada, Ltd. "The Boxster has always been a standout in its segment because of its nimble, precise handling - a result of features that are designed in, not added on."

For 2005, both the Porsche Boxster and Boxster S feature significant styling changes, more powerful engines, numerous handling enhancements, and greater active and passive safety. The Boxster jumps from 225 to 240 horsepower (SAE), while the Boxster S leaps from 258 to 280 horsepower (SAE). All are designed to offer even more driving pleasure from the mid-engine roadsters - the acknowledged leaders in their sports car segment. This all comes at value-driven prices that will make the new Boxster models even more competitive in their class. Manufacturer's suggested retail price for the Boxster is $43,800 US and $62,400 Canadian and for the Boxster S $53,100 US and $75,600 Canadian.

Porsche Cars North America, Inc.
