Porsche Cars North America Announces Appointment of Michael Bartsch as Vice President and COO
ATLANTA, Jan. 12, 2005 -- Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) today announced the appointment of Michael Bartsch to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer at PCNA.
Bartsch will be responsible for all aspects of vehicle sales, sales operations, and the Porsche Academy. He joined Porsche in February 1994 as the Director for the Porsche Centre in Melbourne, Australia. His most recent position was as the Director for Sales and Marketing for Porsche Cars Australia Pty, Limited.
Before joining Porsche, Bartsch worked in a variety of retail and corporate environments including roles as a district sales manager and general manager. In addition, he also served as the Marketing Manager - Product, Planning, Promotions, and Public Relations for Hyundai Automotive Distributor Australia.
"Michael has the personal qualities necessary to continue to build and nurture relationships with our dealers," said Peter Schwarzenbauer, PCNA President and CEO. "At the same time, he has amassed a great deal of hands-on experience selling and marketing Porsche sports cars and SUVs, and he's an enthusiast who lives the Porsche brand."
A native of Australia, Bartsch will relocate to the Atlanta area with his wife and four children.
