The Chrysler 300, which won out over the Ford Mustang and the sixth- generation Chevrolet Corvette, went on sale early last year and has been well- received by the driving public. BorgWarner supplies the engine timing system, solenoid exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve, and transmission control module, one-way clutch and friction plates to various powertrain options.

The Ford Escape Hybrid combines the fuel economy of a full hybrid with the versatility of four-wheel drive, and teams a high-voltage storage battery with an efficient gasoline engine to charge the battery without the need for plugging it in. The Escape Hybrid can run solely on electric power at speeds below 25 mph, and then switch seamlessly and quietly into gasoline mode at higher speeds. Ford expects to sell about 20,000 this year. BorgWarner supplies the engine timing system, one-way clutch, and the high-flow electric vapor management valve assembly and three-way solenoid bracket, which assist in meeting emissions requirements.
