Kia Motors Vice President Promoted to President

SEOUL, Jan. 7, 2005; Yonhap news reported that Kia Motors Corp., South Korea's second-largest automaker, said Friday it has promoted its vice president in charge of domestic sales to head the company.

Kim Ik-hwan will replace outgoing president Yoon Kook-jin, the company said. Yoon expressed his desire to step down after two years in the post for health reasons, it added.
