Media Preview of New Monster Trucks Exhibit Will Feature Special Driver and Truck Appearances, Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at The New Detroit Science Center

What: Monster Trucks: An Xtreme Exhibit - The most extreme exhibit to crash into Detroit in 2005 will be available for media to preview at The New Detroit Science Center on Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at 11:00 a.m.

In addition to previewing the exhibit, members of the media also will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with monster truck driver, Randy Brown of Grave Digger, and Alex Blackwell, driver of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle truck. Meet the drivers before they head to the Monster Jam on Jan. 15, 2005 for competition at the Silverdome.

The media preview will feature a special display of the two monster trucks outside the museum on for one day only. Members of the media will have the opportunity to photograph these trucks and check our the new exhibit that will give you a first-hand experience of what goes into the science of these machines and experience what it is like behind the wheel.

Monster Trucks: An Xtreme Exhibit opens to the public on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005. The exhibit will be on display at the Science Center through May 29, 2005.

Monster Trucks brings together the thrills and spills of motor sports with leading-edge science and technology. Kid-friendly, interactive displays demonstrate the scientific principles that give these monster machines their remarkable power and still make them safe for drivers and fans alike.
