Solutia's Kaye Gosline to Co-Lead Design Los Angeles Session on Color
'Queen of Color' brings creativity; background in contract industry to automotive design
LOS ANGELES, Jan. 6 -- Solutia Automotive, leading supplier of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) interlayer products for glass to the automotive industry, announced today that Kaye F. Gosline, Solutia's "queen of color" and Director of Contract Carpet Fiber, will co-lead a session entitled, "Color and Materials: the Next Trend" at Design Los Angeles, an automotive designers conference preceding the Los Angeles Auto Show. The session will take place at 10:15 a.m. on January 6 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Gosline, credited for her gifts as a color specialist and lauded as an influential voice in the contract industry, is recognized for her ability to discern real trends in color from fleeting fads. Her highly-anticipated color forecasts and her book, "About Color," vividly show the innovations and creativity she brings to the contract industry. Complimentary copies of "About Color" will be available at Solutia Automotive's booth at Design Los Angeles, located next to the media registration table and down the hall from the sessions.
"Kaye's work is so good that it's not just work -- it's art," said Jay Pyper, North American market development manager for Solutia Automotive. "We're proud to bring her to Los Angeles to share her creativity with automotive designers."
Gosline has 25 years experience in construction and color development of carpet fiber. She works closely with architects and interior designers throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe to track trends in styling and color for contract interiors. Major carpet manufacturers also call on her technical and practical expertise in the development of new carpet products.
At Solutia, Kaye utilizes her chemical expertise along with her practical knowledge of the contract interiors market to assist in the development of new carpet fiber technologies that enhance color, and contribute to sustainable manufacturing practices.
Kaye is an active participant in The Color Marketing Group (CMG), having served numerous times in various leadership positions including Co-Chair of the Contract Color Directions committee, Color + Design, and a 3-year term on the Board of Directors. She continues to be a featured speaker for local, regional and national ASID, IIDA and NEWH functions.
Kaye graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. in Textile Chemistry and holds an M.B.A. from Brenau College.
