Audiovox Offers Exclusive Expeditor Mobile Video Line Under Advent Brand

Line To Include Overhead Drop-Down And Headrest Systems

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. and LAS VEGAS, Jan. 5 -- In deference to the company's long history as a major supplier to the expeditor market, Audiovox Corporation today announced the Company's first mobile video line under the Advent brand, which will be dedicated exclusively to the car dealer market.

Making the announcement, Tom Malone, Senior VP Sales of Audiovox Electronics Corporation, the Company's wholly-owned electronics subsidiary, said, "Audiovox has been a major player in the car expeditor market since the company's inception, growing that business from its original autosound focus to remote start and security with our exclusive Pursuit line. With this new line of Advent mobile video products, we are taking our commitment to this market to the next level."

He further stated, "This car dealer-specific line of mobile video products is something the expeditors can truly call their own and it's from the leader in mobile video. We've taken our number one product line and made it dealer-special with the first-ever dual screen/dual DVD overhead system."

Malone believes car dealers and their customers are going to love the ADV285 dual 8.5-inch swivel video monitors with dual DVD players in the same overhead system, designed to provide optimum viewing for the rear-seat passengers. Other features include dome lights and an FM modulator. A TV tuner is optional and models will be available in pewter and shale-the most popular vehicle interior colors. "We are supporting these products, which represent the latest in-video technology, with a 48-month warranty, a national travelers' warranty and exciting new P.O.P. material specifically for the new car dealer," he states.

The Advent line rounds out with single screen 12, 10.2 and 8.5 inch overhead drop-down video systems with built-in DVD players and wireless FM modulators that play through the vehicle sound system. The 12 and 10.2-inch models include a separate game controller, allowing the user to play over 20 video games.

The Advent custom headrest program, which replaces the factory headrests, includes two 7-inch screen monitors with two built-in DVD players, built-in wireless FM modulator, independent A/V switching and two dual-channel headphones. There are over 100 models available for fourteen vehicle brands.

"With this new line of products, car dealers will not have to compete against retailers who are actively advertising and selling the number one Audiovox brand of mobile video. They get the best of both worlds: a high- quality product from the leader in the field and exclusive distribution," Malone said.
