Audi of America, Inc. Reports 2004 Sales

A8 Continues Stellar Growth

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Jan. 4 -- Audi of America, Inc. reported 2004 year-end sales of 77,917 compared to 2003 sales of 86,421, a difference of 9.8 percent. A highlight in 2004 was the continued sales success of the Audi A8. During 2004 Audi added two new A8 models, the A8 normal wheelbase with its 4.2 liter V8 and an A8 L W12 flagship with a W12 engine producing 450 horsepower. The A8 finished the year with sales of 5,943, a 45.3 percent increase over 2003 A8 sales of 4,090.

For the month of December, Audi sold 7,650 vehicles, representing a 15.8 percent decline relative to the December 2003 record sales of 9,084.

The Audi Certified Pre Owned business continued to climb in 2004 with December sales of 2,089, a 22.8 percent increase over December 2003 sales of 1,701. CPO sales for the year totaled 24,821, a 20.7 percent increase over 2003 CPO sales of 20,558.
