DaimlerChrysler Announces Personnel Appointment

WASHINGTON, Jan. 4, 2005 -- DaimlerChrysler is pleased to announce the appointment of Earle Eldridge to Senior Manager - Washington Public Affairs in the DaimlerChrysler External Affairs and Public Policy office in Washington, D.C.

Eldridge will be the chief communications contact for a range of Washington-based issues and will provide media and government relations support for the office's regulatory and legislative affairs efforts.

Eldridge will also support corporate and media relations for the Chrysler Group in Washington, D.C.

Eldridge comes to DaimlerChrysler from USA TODAY where he spent 10 years as a business reporter covering the auto industry. Prior to that, Eldridge was a congressional reporter for Gannett News Service and he also worked as a city hall reporter for the Detroit News.
