fuel cell technology for transportation applications. Over the
next two years, more than 120 Ballard fuel cell-powered Ford and
DaimlerChrysler vehicles will be on the road in the hands of
end-use customers in 13 different countries. Since 1993, 10 of
the top 15 automakers have demonstrated more than 125 vehicles
powered by Ballard fuel cells.

fuel cell technology. They are prepared to comment on any
relevant stories or announcements during the 2005 North American
International Auto Show (NAIAS).

starting Tuesday, January 4 for advance stories. Dennis
Campbell, Ballard's President & CEO, will be on-site at NAIAS
and available for in-person interviews on Monday, January 10.
Ballard spokespersons will be available for telephone interviews
for the duration of the show (January 9 to January 23).
Why: As the automotive industry works to develop technologies that
reduce emissions and improve fuel efficiency, fuel cells have
emerged as a particularly promising solution. Automakers are
now competing to bring the technology to the marketplace, and
NAIAS is likely to be the backdrop for any major announcements
from manufacturers about their plans for incorporating fuel
cells into their fleets.
