TRG - new TRG East division

TRG - east and west

The Racer's Group (TRG) has expanded to offer its professional and
club-racing customers bi-coastal service in North America. TRG East, based
in Pompano Beach, Fla. (35 miles north of Miami), is owned and managed by
Peter Baron. The east division joins the Sonoma, Calif.-based parent company
owned by Kevin and Debra Buckler.

TRG East will provide service for street cars, club racers and professional
race programs from a new 7200-square-foot, triple-bay facility that includes
a full-service machine and fabrication shop. The team already has two race
cars available for Porsche Club of America races plus a complete line of TRG
suspension, brakes and performance products.

Baron knows racing from both the owner's office and the driver's seat. He
was instrumental in starting Orbit Racing and was a founding owner of BAM!
(British American Motorsport). His on-track success includes a second-place
GT finish in the 24 Heures du Mans. Ironically, he drove his first
sports-car race in a TRG car, at Sebring International Raceway in 1998.

"Clearly, I could have gone my own route and started a new team, but this is
an example of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts," Baron
said. "Kevin set the standard for racing as a business, and TRG offers the
first-class service I've been associated with for the past six years. Now
customers all over the country can pick and choose, because they have a TRG
hub on each coast. And we're open three hours earlier now!"

"I'm really excited about joining forces with Peter and the expansion of our
business and services," Buckler said. "We have clients currently based all
over North America, and nearly 25 [Porsche 911] GT3s in our West Coast shop.
Having an East Coast hub is a natural and allows us to better service our
existing clients and make it even easier for new customers to join. More
importantly, having the East Coast operation run by an experienced
professional like Peter means that the operation will maintain the TRG
standards that everyone has come to expect. Also, having Peter's and TRG
East's help for our six-car GT effort at the Rolex 24 will be extremely
valuable in pulling everything together."

ready to race

TRG East will field the No. 61 TRG East Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car in the Rolex
24 At Daytona in Daytona Beach, Fla., on Feb. 5 and 6, and will provide
overall support for the six-car TRG and TRG East Porsche entry in the race.
Robert Nearn of London, England, has joined the TRG East squad of Canadian
drivers previously announced.

"I'm thrilled to be working with Kevin at Daytona," Baron said. "He was able
to sign three SGS podium finishers in last year's race - David Lacey and
Greg and Mark Wilkins - plus David Shep and most recently Robert Nearn, who
will definitely be a GT pace-setter."

Baron said TRG East is ready to follow the Daytona race with a double entry
in a Porsche Club of America event at Sebring (Fla.) International Raceway
on Feb. 13: "We have everything in place from two transporters to pit
vehicles to the machine and fabrication shop. We won't have to turn anyone
away because we don't have the capacity to service their needs. We're ready
to race!"
