ARA Wins Industry Award

FAIRFAX, Va., Dec. 29, 2004 -- The Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA) won the Bronze Award from Association Trends magazine, a nationally circulated weekly trade publication oriented toward association executives, which conducts an annual contest of all media announcements. Winners are selected in 31 categories, which include magazines, newsletters, membership directories, press releases, PSAs, CD's, media kits, convention programs, educational programs, membership promotion kits and much more.

ARA submitted its 2004 Membership Directory for competitive consideration and placed third among all of the category entries.

With over 20,000 trade associations and individual membership societies in existence, and many offering some form of media penetration, ARA is truly honored to have placed third in its category.

ARA will be formally recognized for its achievement during Association Trends' Spring Luncheon Awards program.

Founded in 1943, the Automotive Recyclers Association represents an industry dedicated to the efficient removal and reuse of automotive parts, and the proper disposal of inoperable motor vehicles. With programs such as the Certified Auto Recycler program, and other partnerships with automotive manufacturers, automotive recycling will continue to provide consumers with quality, low cost alternatives for vehicle replacement parts, while preserving our environment for tomorrow.
