Toyota to upgrade China office

NAGOYA December 29, 2004; Japan Today reported that Toyota Motor Corp said Tuesday it will upgrade its China office to headquarters status effective Jan 1 next year to cope with the automaker's expanding business in the Chinese market.

The firm will also merge sections dealing with other Asian markets with the Oceania and Middle East headquarters to establish a new main office which oversees markets in those areas, it said. (Kyodo News)
