Television Advertising Campaign Supports Introduction of 'Astrata-GLP'

Ads will Appear on CNBC's Leading Daily Business Programs

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 21 -- Astrata Group Incorporated (BULLETIN BOARD: ATTA) , an international provider of innovative location- based IT services and solutions, announced today the launch of an advertising campaign in North America to promote the introduction of its new proprietary product, the Astrata GeoLocation Platform (the "Astrata GLP"). This is the eighth generation GPS product developed at the Astrata R&D facility, where over 85 software and hardware engineers and staff develop new products and customized applications.

Astrata's GLP is the first GPS location and GSM/CDMA wireless communications device that includes an onboard computer operating system using MC Linux and can be programmed for custom applications right over the air. The GLP combines a GPS receiver, a GSM cell phone, and a full computer operating system integrated into a single package approximately 50% the size of a cigarette pack. The built-in wireless communication options include quad-band GSM/CDMA, GPRS, SMS, circuit switched data (CSD), Bluetooth, and wireless LAN. The GLP is used to monitor and control fleets of virtually any equipment, vehicles, assets, shipping containers, or even individuals using real-time information and Astrata's GEO-IT system. Customers include government users for homeland security purposes and owners of large fleets of vehicles.

The 30-second advertising "spots" will initially appear on two of CNBC's leading business programs: "Squawk Box," from 8:00-10:00AM on the network's morning business program, and "Closing Bell," from 3:00-4:30PM. They are scheduled to run Wednesday and Thursday, December 22 and 23, and on December 27-30. Both these CNBC programs boast high ratings among business leaders of U.S. companies that own fleets of vehicles and remote assets that are ideal customers for the GLP.

Derek Wasson, Astrata's Managing Director of Telematics, said, "The Astrata-GLP was launched October 22, 2004, at Auto Africa 2004, the largest annual automotive show in Africa for fleet owners and telematics suppliers. Since then we have received orders in Singapore, Malaysia, and the United Kingdom. We expect to introduce the service in the U.S. in the first quarter of 2005, and our new ads will introduce our extraordinary technology to senior executives in the U.S. market."
