Court of Appeals Victory for Subaru of New England, Inc.
Legality Of Selling Practices Upheld
NORWOOD, Mass., Dec. 20 -- Subaru of New England, Inc., the exclusive distributor of Subaru products throughout New England, announced today that the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit upheld the legality of its practices in selling automobile accessories to its dealers. The decision affirms the prior decision of Chief Judge Paul Barbadoro of the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire, which held that Subaru's practices did not violate federal or state laws.
Ernie Boch, Jr., President of Subaru of New England, stated: "The court's decision, vindicates our business philosophy, which treats our dealers fairly and benefits Subaru customers. I am only sorry that my father was not alive to see this."
