Avis Helps Drive Make-A-Wish(R) Donations With Special Winter Offer

$35 'Wish List' Savings Coupon for Every Donation of $25 or More

PHOENIX, Dec. 16 -- This winter, Avis Rent A Car System, Inc. will help drive children's wishes into the new year through its "Wish List" campaign to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation's(R) 25th anniversary. When customers donate $25 or more, Avis will reward them with a coupon good for up to $35 off a weekend or weekly rental of a Premium, Luxury or Minivan. The promotion builds on Avis' ongoing commitment to the charity, which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

In commemoration of the Make-A-Wish Foundation's 25th anniversary, Avis will send out an e-mail to approximately more than 300,000 of their customers, urging them to donate at least $25 through www.avis.com/wish from December 15 to March 31, 2005. As added incentive, all donors will receive an electronic coupon worth up to $35 off a Wish List Minivan, Premium or Luxury weekend or weekly rental. Premium or Luxury vehicles offer selections like the Cadillac DeVille and Buick LeSabre that come equipped with free XM Satellite Radio.

In addition, Avis will make a matching donation of up to $50,000 in rental car credits for the first $50,000 raised. The rental credits are used by Make-A-Wish(R) chapters throughout the U.S. to subsidize the cost of travel wishes.

"We are grateful to Avis and its customers for this wonderful holiday gift," said Paul Velaski, interim CEO of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America. "Such generous support of the Make-A-Wish(R) mission helps us grant the wishes of courageous children, enriching their lives with hope, strength, and joy."

"Avis is dedicated to supporting the communities we live and work in," said Scott Deaver, executive vice president of marketing for Avis. "Through our partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, we can demonstrate our very strong commitment to the children and their families by helping to make their wishes come true."

Underscoring its annual commitment to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Avis has provided more than $1 million of free and steeply discounted rentals to Wish Families in need of transportation. Avis employees at facilities nationwide are personally involved by trying even harder to ensure that the special needs of the children and their families are attended to. Avis' support goes a long way toward defraying costs associated with wishes involving travel, which represent approximately 62 percent of the more than 11,000 wishes granted annually by the Foundation.
