RouteOne is Named to InfoWorld 100 List

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Dec. 15, 2004 -- RouteOne LLC, the electronic credit application management system formed by DaimlerChrysler Services, Ford Motor Credit Company, General Motors Acceptance Corporation, and Toyota Financial Services, has been named one of InfoWorld magazine's 100 Best IT Projects of the Year.

"RouteOne was recognized for being the most innovative automotive financial service to enter the InfoWorld 100, one with truly new IT services," said Eric Knorr, senior features editor. For a company to earn one of InfoWorld's 100 Best IT Projects of the Year it must have executed an IT project to enhance their business goals and "these enhancements must go beyond the typical, off-the-shelf solution," Knorr said.

"We know that the RouteOne system will revolutionize the way auto dealers handle the critical process of securing customer credit for the purchase of new vehicles, and InfoWorld's recognition underscores the importance of this to the industry," Mike Jurecki, RouteOne CEO said. "We have an aggressive schedule to respond to the enthusiastic reception we're getting from the dealer body throughout North America."

InfoWorld is distributed in the U.S. and Canada and has been creating a forum for IT professionals for the past 25 years. "This year, InfoWorld honors a host of innovative projects that highlight the resourcefulness of the IT community," said Knorr. "IT departments have learned hard lessons about business realities and realistic ROI. The InfoWorld 100 provides a forum for IT managers to get the recognition they deserve for smart projects from an audience of their peers."
