--AAANHTSA Releases Holiday Traffic Fatalities and Projections WHAT: More Americans travel during the Christmas-New Year's holiday than any other holiday period. On the heels of a strong Thanksgiving travel holiday, AAA will release its forecast for what could be the largest Christmas-New Year's travel holiday ever. The vast majority of holiday travelers will go by car and will want to know the days that traffic deaths spike during the holiday period, according to new data being released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
