SOUTHFIELD, Mich.--Dec. 9, 2004--The newly introduced Champion(R) Spark Plug packaging was judged to be among the automotive parts and service industry's most creative and effective in a design competition held during the 2004 Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo in November. Champion spark plugs are manufactured and marketed by Federal-Mogul Corporation (OTCBB:FDMLQ).Champion, "The World's Favorite Spark Plug," launched its colorful new North American packaging graphics in July. The design, one of only three to win this year's AAPEX New Products and Packaging Showcase Award, combines the proven appeal of the legendary red and black Champion "bowtie" logo and high-impact retail graphical elements that emphasize the performance advantages of each Champion plug technology.
The new packaging family covers the entire Champion product line, including Champion Copper Plus(TM), Platinum Power(TM), Truck Plug(TM), Double Platinum(TM), and new premium Champion Iridium(TM) automotive spark plugs, as well as the brand's non-automotive Champion Power Sport(TM), Stainless Steel Marine(TM) and EZ Start(TM) plugs.
