Red Herring Selects Mobileye N.V. for Prestigious Red Herring Top 100 Innovators Award; Award Recognizes 100 Companies That Embody Innovation

SAN FRANCISCO--Dec. 9, 2004--Mobileye N.V., the leading provider of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems to the automotive industry, announced today that it has been selected as a Top 100 Innovator by Red Herring.

Mobileye N.V. was chosen for its innovative automotive safety systems that work like a protective "third eye" for motorists to prevent accidents before they occur. The company is the only supplier of Intelligent Transportation Systems that can perform the full range of applications from lane following, lane change assist, ACC (adaptive cruise control) up to collision mitigation (as a standalone or conjunction with radar) on the platform of a single camera. Mobileye's robust EyeQ(TM) system-on-a-chip houses more than fifteen safety and driving support features in three broad categories of forward-looking, rear-looking and in-cabin driving applications -- and possesses the computing capability of two powerful Pentium computers, but at a fraction of the cost.

"Our goal is to make optimal safety a standard feature for every vehicle -- not just for luxury cars," said Mobileye co-founder and Chief Scientist Amnon Shashua -- Chairman of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The vision system employs a single camera and advanced pattern recognition software, which work together just like the human eye does -- identifying discreet targets within a complex, ever-changing environment.

Mobileye already provides evaluation systems for most of the top automotive manufacturers in the world, with multiple applications installed at many OEMs. Mobileye's technology in general and the EyeQ system-on-a-chip in particular, have won a number of design wins by OEMs and first Tiers in Japan, Europe and the U.S. and is scheduled for production vehicles starting 2006/7. The company's after-market product is already installed at a North American trucking firm, and is scheduled for distribution to trucking and fleet vehicles around the world during 2005.

"Selection for the Innovation 100 puts a company in an elite group. The editors worked hard to identify the companies who will benefit from the important technology trends in the coming year," said Joel Dreyfuss, Editor-in-Chief of Red Herring.

Red Herring's editorial staff evaluated over 1,200 submissions from 900 companies. The editors used a careful analysis of financial data as well as subjective criteria, including quality of management, execution of strategy, and dedication to research and development.
