Peugeot Launches Special Edition 307 With Smartnav as Standard

CRANFIELD, England, December 8 -- Peugeot has just launched its new Quiksilver model, a sporty special edition 307 with Smartnav, an advanced satellite navigation system by Trafficmaster, as standard.

Peugeot will be producing five versions of the Quiksilver 307; a 1.6 petrol, and HDi 110 and 136 BHP diesel hatchback variants, plus HDi 110 and HDi 136 BHP SW models. Altogether Peugeot will be producing 2,500 307 Quiksilvers and they will be available through all of its 335 UK dealerships.

The Smartnav package, worth over GBP800, will be fitted to all Peugeot Quiksilver 307 models. Smartnav is an easy to use satellite navigation system that uses Trafficmaster's real-time traffic data to calculate and monitor optimum routes. The Smartnav system also offers additional options, which include Safe Speed, a speed camera warning device, and RAC Trackstar, a GPS based stolen vehicle tracking system.

Smartnav is a simple one button navigation system, which connects the driver to a Smartnav PA, a real operator who takes down the destination. The PA puts the details into a central computer, which automatically calculates the best route and sends it to the vehicle. The Smartnav PAs are also on hand 24/7 to support emergency and breakdown situations.

The Quiksilver 307 special edition can be purchased from GBP14,020 for the 1.6 petrol model to GBP17,720 for the SW HDI 136 BHP model.
