Furukawa Electric, Delphi to form wire harness production JV

TOKYO December 8, 2004; Japan Today reported that Furukawa Electric Co said Tuesday it will soon set up a joint venture with Delphi Corp to produce wire harnesses for vehicles that Toyota Motor Corp assembles in the United States.

Delphi Furukawa Wiring Systems LLC will combine Furukawa's product development and quality control capacity with ideas and North American production and distribution networks of Michigan-based Delphi, known as the world's largest automotive parts maker, Furukawa said. (Kyodo News)
