Volunteers of America to Receive $35,000; Recipient of the 2005 Randy's Ring & Pinion Public Service Award
EVERETT, Wash., Dec. 6, 2004 -- Randy's Ring & Pinion, a leading supplier of truck and off-road differential parts, is proud to announce the selection of Volunteers of America as a recipient of the 2005 Randy's Ring & Pinion Public Service Award.
"Caring about and improving our community are an extension of who we are," stresses Randy Lyman. "Helping the less fortunate brings us together ... and everyone wins."
This is the second Public Service Award for Volunteers of America in as many years, and President/CEO Tom Robinson said it is a direct reflection of the mutual respect and commitment garnered from the successful private- nonprofit partnership.
"The fact that Randy's Ring & Pinion has committed additional dollars to Volunteers of America shows the strength of his commitment to community and his desire to see things through to the end," he said. "These additional dollars present us with the opportunity to 'finish what we started' in 2004, and to develop meaningful marketing tools that will help the organization attract financial resources from the private and corporate sectors. It also serves as a great example of mutual benefit, one that enables both parties without compromising our precious direct service dollars."
About the 2005 Randy's Ring & Pinion Public Service Award
The award for Volunteers of America will provide a finish to the full service campaign awarded in 2004, which included television, radio, and collateral development for the umbrella organization. The 2005 campaign will provide resources to develop multi-media collateral, program-level templates, and a radio campaign, adding breadth and depth to the organization's battery of marketing tools without diverting funds from the direct services Volunteers of America provides.
