3D Systems Announces Increased Manufacturing Capability at INCS in Japan
VALENCIA, Calif.--Dec. 6, 2004--INCS provides unmatched service to its customers with the addition of five Sinterstation(R) HiQ(TM) HS SLS(R) systems |
3D Systems Corporation , a leading provider of rapid 3-D printing, prototyping and manufacturing solutions, today announced that INCS in Japan, a leading provider of design, development and manufacturing services, recently increased its manufacturing capability with five Sinterstation(R) HiQ(TM) HS SLS(R) systems. Offering innovative 3-D solutions to leading automotive and electronic manufacturers, INCS Solid Reality Center utilizes more than twenty-five stereolithography (SLA(R)) systems and five selective laser sintering (SLS) systems.
"Because we provide services to the country's leading automotive and electronics manufacturers, it is critical for us to achieve the fastest possible turnaround time with the highest quality," said INCS president and founder Shinjiro Yamada. "In a very demanding business environment requiring delivery of quality functional prototypes, patterns and end-use parts to our customers, the expanding portfolio of solutions provided by 3D Systems enables us to meet and exceed tight deadlines and to deliver to our customers high-quality prototypes and parts.
"The addition of the five Sinterstation HiQ HS SLS manufacturing-capable systems expands the range of solutions we can deliver to our customers," continued Yamada. "Building and expanding on the extraordinary acceptance of 3D Systems' SLA technology in Japan, the new Sinterstation HiQ HS SLS systems recently acquired from 3D Systems produce parts that are stronger, durable, consistent and accurate, attributes which are important to customers desiring to conduct rigorous functional tests of their designs. With the addition of the Sinterstation HiQ HS SLS systems, we can produce parts that meet or exceed the part quality requirements of the automotive and electronics industries in Japan," concluded Yamada.
Visiting INCS facilities in Tokyo, Abe Reichental, 3D Systems' president and CEO added, "We are honored to have a world-class leader such as INCS as our customer, and we are pleased to be able to provide an important lead user within our industry with value-added solutions that improve their bottom line. By working closely with innovative and entrepreneurial companies like INCS, we are expanding the range and reach of our solutions and transforming the way people design, develop and manufacture their products."
Founded in 1990, INCS utilizes more than twenty-five SLA systems and five SLS systems delivering a comprehensive portfolio of design, development and manufacturing solutions to an ever growing customer base in Japan. By maximizing its systems integration and utilization, INCS has achieved an average delivery time of four days. To ensure the fastest possible turnaround time, INCS connected its Tokyo Technical Facility Center, the site of its engineering and modeling efforts, to its Solid Reality Center (SRC) via a high-speed private line. This link ensures that the SLA and SLS systems run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For more information regarding INCS visit their website at www.incs.co.jp.
