Lakes Community Credit Union Partners with Aimbridge Indirect Lending; Increases Services, Satisfaction, Loan Originations and Membership

DENVER--Dec. 6, 2004--Aimbridge Indirect Lending, a division of The Aimbridge Group and a financing channel that connects credit unions with an automotive dealer network to provide members and potential members with automobile loans and leases, announced that it has launched an indirect lending program with Lakes Community Credit Union.

Lakes Community Credit Union, with assets reaching $65 million, is located approximately 30 miles outside Detroit. The program extends convenient automobile loan services to credit union members and provides opportunity for credit unions to attract potential members.

According to Carolyn Chevrier, president and CEO of Lakes Community Credit Union, the credit union decided to implement an indirect lending program to increase loan origination numbers and improve member services. "Aimbridge's good reputation and success with other credit unions sparked our interest in its indirect lending program," Chevrier said. "With this program, we expect to reach more potential members at the dealership. Our goal is to give members an easy way to acquire a car loan through the credit union."

Prior to launching the indirect lending program in the Michigan area, Aimbridge successfully launched the program in Dallas. The company conducts extensive training with credit union employees, and part of what makes this program attractive to credit unions are the services Aimbridge continues to maintain.

"Our decision was impacted by the many advantages Aimbridge's program offers," said Chevrier. "They manage and maintain a positive, working relationship with the credit union and the dealership, allowing us to focus more time on member needs. The ability to immediately install and implement the system was also very beneficial for us."

Ann Schmitt, chief operating officer of Aimbridge, said, "We look forward to continuing our indirect lending program successes with the credit unions and dealers in the Michigan region. We want to raise loan volumes for both credit unions and dealerships while increasing member satisfaction. Saving the credit union and the dealer time and money is an advantage that our company offers. We will do everything we can to ensure everyone a simple and gratifying process."
