Rockwell Automation Names Director Nominees for Election at 2005 Annual Shareowners Meeting, Approves Share Repurchases

MILWAUKEE--Dec. 1, 2004--Rockwell Automation, Inc. designated Bruce M. Rockwell, Joseph F. Toot, Jr. and Kenneth F. Yontz as nominees for election to the board of directors, with terms expiring in 2008. The election will take place at the Rockwell Automation 2005 Annual Meeting to be held on Feb. 2, 2005. Rockwell, Toot and Yontz are current directors of Rockwell Automation. The other seven directors will continue on the board.

The board also authorized the company to repurchase up to 9 million shares of Rockwell Automation common stock between Dec. 2, 2004 and Nov. 3, 20040, 2005.
