Arizona's Inaugural Route 66 Corvette'N America Road Tour Set for June 2-4, 2005

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz.--Nov. 3, 2004--Circling the Grand Canyon and ending at the Heart of the Mother Road: Route 66 Flagstaff -- this premiere event will combine scenery, history and fun. With invitations going out to over 650 Corvette clubs and 1 million owners nationwide, hundreds of drivers and spectators are expected. The highlight of this annual event will be a caravan of Corvettes to the Grand Canyon. Other events on the tour's agenda include a grand reception, a Corvette show & shine and a sunset finale at the Arizona Snowbowl.

Jim Nelson, world-renowned developer of the Universal CityWalk project who has been creating a plan to bring Route 66 to life in Flagstaff says, "Imagine experiencing the true romance of the open road. It's the ultimate cruise: driving around a wonder of the world -- the Grand Canyon. Becoming part of the most beautiful and impressive scenery in America from the seat of the most beautiful and impressive car in America -- the Corvette."

Event developers and coordinators, Dwayne and Cindy Bublitz first initiated the event in 2003 due to their love for the Corvette and the camaraderie with other owners. They then hired the award winning creative firm Derrsign to assist with the event branding and Web site design. The site can be viewed at www.corvette-n-america.com with complete information including a full itinerary.

Route 66 sees millions of visitors every year and goes through the heart of Flagstaff. "With our cool, clean air and breath-taking scenery, I think Flagstaff is the perfect location for an event like ours. We're anticipating a major economic impact for Flagstaff and area businesses," says Cindy. "This venue is going to be the best of the best road tours Corvette owners have seen," said Dwayne.
