NASCAR Teams up with Mobil Travel Guide to Publish 2005 Mobil Travel Guide: NASCAR Travel Planner
CHARLOTTE, N.C.--Nov. 2, 20049, 2004--The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) has teamed up with Mobil Travel Guide, the nation's leading publisher of objective and thorough information for the road traveler, to produce a new, comprehensive travel planner for NASCAR fans. The first edition of this annual effort is to be released in December 2004 and will be titled Mobil Travel Guide: NASCAR Travel Planner.On shelves in time for the holiday gift-giving season and the 2005 NASCAR season, the book will be a four-color guide to the areas surrounding NASCAR tracks. Included are more than 2,000 recommendations of where to eat, stay and explore while on the road to NASCAR races. The Travel Planner will be a must-buy for fans planning their vacations around NASCAR races.
The 2005 Mobil Travel Guide: NASCAR Travel Planner (1-932694-08-0, December 2004, Paperback, 512 pages, $19.95) will provide detailed insight for all speedway destinations, with information about the tracks and their surrounding areas. In addition to recommendations on where to stay and eat, the Travel Planner will contain more than 85 local Mapquest maps, details on event traffic patterns and facility information, from parking and first-aid to where to hunt down driver autographs. The book, with four-color photos of tracks, drivers, fans, and more, is designed to appeal to all travelers.
The NASCAR Travel Planner will include the time-honored Mobil Star-Ratings for hotels and restaurants in a 50 to 100 mile radius of each speedway. The Planner will be available in national bookstores and mass market retailers, as well as online at the NASCAR Library Collection Specialty Store at www.nascar.com and www.mobiltravelguide.com.
