Custom Air Trucking Increases Route Efficiency with Air-Trak's Cloudberry; Trucking Company Achieves a 25 Percent Increase in Productivity with Cloudberry
SAN DIEGO--Nov. 2, 20049, 2004--Air-Trak, Inc., a developer of location, tracking and messaging systems, today announced that Custom Air Trucking has implemented Air-Trak's Cloudberry mobile resource management system to increase route efficiency and improve customer service.A provider of same-day pick up and delivery service for freight forwarders, Custom Air routes drivers and deliveries using Cloudberry software and GPS-enabled cell phones. Cloudberry is a powerful GPS tracking and communications system that displays real-time location of vehicles on detailed maps. By locating drivers and communicating in real-time, Custom Air is able to handle more transactions per driver per day, increasing efficiency by 25 percent without additional hiring.
"Before Cloudberry, our dispatchers would route drivers based on their knowledge of the area. We had a map on the wall with magnets to represent trucks," said Barry Brennan, general manager of Custom Air. "With Cloudberry, all of our dispatchers have access to real-time location information. Our productivity has increased by more than twenty-five percent, we routinely exceed customer expectations, and business has doubled."
With Cloudberry's intuitive user interface, dispatchers can right-click a vehicle to obtain its position, speed, and other attributes. The program uses color coding to quickly distinguish vehicle status and provides comprehensive reports summarizing miles traveled, routes taken, and message histories. In addition to dispatch and routing, Custom Air uses Cloudberry information to document arrival and wait times. This helps in resolving service disputes and ensures accurate billing.
"The power of Cloudberry is that it is sophisticated and enterprise-class, yet easy to implement and use," said Greg White, president of Air-Trak. "By supporting multiple networks, platforms and displays, Cloudberry can help both small and large fleets to improve productivity by gaining control of their mobile assets."
