March and Rally to Support Jaguar Workers
LONDON, November 25 --

Thousands of people are expected to march through Coventry City Centre this Saturday in support of Jaguar workers at Browns Lane, whose plant is threatened with closure following Ford's decision to end of car production at the historic site. Jaguar unions Amicus, the T&G and GMB will begin balloting members at Browns Lane for industrial action on Monday, with the ballot closing on the 13th December.

Speakers at the rally include Derek Simpson, Amicus General Secretary; Tony Woodley, T&G General Secretary; Councillor John Gazey, Lord Mayor of Coventry; Brendan Barber, TUC General Secretary; Coventry MPs; Jaguar workers and supporters. The rally will be chaired by Dave Osborne, T&G National Secretary.
