Denso Releases Aromatic Ion Generator for In-car Air Purification

Tokyo Nov 24, 2004; Aki Tsukioka writing for JCNN reported that Denso announced November 22 that it launched the IONTERA Aroma Plus, an in-car ion generator this month.

Co-developed with Sharp that holds cutting-edge air purification technology Plasmacluster Ion, the product can effectively inhibit the activities of mold fungi and allergens in a car while producing fresh aroma.

Denso will market the product in Japan as well as overseas. The product sells for 22,000 yen ($212). The company expects to ship a combined total of 50,000 units both at home and overseas.
