UAW Ends Strike Against CNH America

Union advises workers to report for next regularly scheduled shift

DETROIT, Nov. 22 -- UAW Vice President Cal Rapson today announced that the UAW had terminated its strike against CNH America, LLC, facilities in Burlington, Iowa; Racine, Wis.; St. Paul, Minn.; and Burr Ridge, Ill. effective 1:30 p.m. CST today, Monday, Nov. 22. The UAW represents approximately 650 hourly workers at those four CNH America locations.

The UAW is advising all UAW-represented workers to return to work on their next regularly scheduled shift, said Rapson, who directs the UAW Agricultural Implement Dept.

"We remain determined to negotiate a new collective bargaining agreement that is fair to both workers and CNH America. We are ready and willing to meet with management to continue negotiations," said Rapson.
