RINGERS GLOVES WEEKEND WRAP-UP

Indianapolis – (November 22, 2004) The most recognized organization in
motorsports ended its 2004 season at Homestead-Miami Speedway over the weekend.
The divisions of NASCAR, the Busch Series, Craftsman Truck Series and Nextel
Cup Series, closed out an exciting year of racing.
Ringers team Penske Racing South had two of its three team drivers finish in
the top-10 in the Ford 400 on Sunday.
Brendan Gaughan, driver of the No. 77 Kodak/Jasper Engines Dodge scored a
sixth place finish after starting in the 17th position. His teammate Rusty
Wallace also landed in the top-10 at the checkers, finishing eighth.
Their teammate Ryan Newman would have potentially notched another win in
2004, but with three laps to go, the No. 12 ALLTEL Dodge’s right front tire went
down, forcing Newman into the wall and posting a 30th place finish.
NEMCO Motorsports, Ringers supporting team, saw driver and owner Joe
Nemechek pilot his No. 87 Cellular One Chevrolet to an eighth place finish in
Saturday’s Busch Series Ford 300.
Heading back to Friday now, the Craftsman Truck Series saw a domination of
Ringers team Ultra Motorsports in the Ford 200.
Truck Series regular and Ultra driver, Ted Musgrave, ended his season on a
good note with a second place finish in the race in his No. 1 Mopar Dodge.
His teammate for his second race, NASCAR Nextel Cup star and Raybestos Rookie
of the Year recipient Kasey Kahne, however ended it a little bit better.
In only Kahne’s second Truck Series start, Kahne took the No. 2 Team
ASE/Carquest Dodge to Victory Lane for the second weekend in a row.
Ringers Gloves would like to congratulate all of our teams on great seasons!
