Vault's employee surveys are designed to give investors and jobseekers insight into Ford - and for job seekers, the edge in this tough recruiting climate.

As for culture and working hours, a product design engineer says, "Enormous cubicle environment, hierarchical structure. Change is the single constant, business approaches & structures seem to be in constant motion. Hours - 40 to 65 hours a week depending on the phase of product development of the vehicle program. Alternative work schedules are often an option (i.e. four 10 hour days or 9 hour days with every other Friday off). Some people job share at the supervisory level."

As to compensation, a senior financial analyst writes, "Recent MBA graduate with 5+ years (in a field other than Finance) - $70,500 base, $5,000 signing bonus, $1,000 new car purchase voucher, excellent benefits, especially medical. You pay nothing for you or your dependents, only deductibles and drug co-pays. Other benefits: flex plan, dental, vision, life, disability, tuition, performance bonuses."
