Visteon Receives 2004 J.D. Power and Associates Highest Quality AM/FM/Single CD Supplier Award

VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, Mich., Nov. 18, 2004 -- For the third time in the past four years, Visteon Corporation has received the J. D. Power and Associates highest quality AM/FM/Single CD Player supplier award. Visteon was the only recipient of the 2004 highest quality award from among 13 different in-vehicle receiver/playback systems rated in consumer surveys by J.D. Power in the AM/FM/Single CD Player category.

J.D. Power scored the AM/FM/Single CD Player in five sound system-related quality areas. Visteon's top areas of performance included high customer satisfaction ratings in loading and ejection features. Visteon experienced a 39 percent quality improvement in the last year. Visteon's AM/FM/Single CD Player can be found on the Mazda B-Series and a variety of Ford and Mercury models. At least one Asian manufacturer also plans to carry the system on a U.S. vehicle next year.

Visteon received this award by improving its quality performance from 2003 while increasing its total volume. Visteon continues to outperform the AM/FM/Single CD Player receiver/playback average in quality (based on fewest problems per 100 people surveyed). The product category for which Visteon received the highest quality award has the highest market penetration at 34 percent.
