SAN ANTONIO--Nov. 1, 20046, 2004--XPEL Technologies Corp. (CNQ:XPEL.U)-- 30 Million RV Enthusiasts Throughout U.S.
-- Improved Cross-Selling Opportunities for X-Pel(TM) Dealers
-- Increased Value of X-Pel(TM) Relationship
Nevada-based XPEL Technologies Corp. ("XPEL") announced today the consummation and integration of a recent acquisition of a database of Motor Home Patterns from Coach Guard Inc. ("Coach Guard") of Elkhart, Indiana. Coach Guard is the industry leader for designing the best fitting and maximum-coverage clear paint protection products for the frontal impact areas of Motor Homes. As part of the transaction, Coach Guard has become an X-Pel(TM) Design Access Program ("DAP") Dealer in the Elkhart and surrounding market area.
According to the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association, there are currently 7.2 million RVs on the road and a total of 30 million RV enthusiasts in the U.S. alone. A University of Michigan study recently revealed, "RVs are owned by 7 million U.S. households, and that long-term signs point to substantial RV market growth because of favorable demographic trends." The number of RV-owning households is estimated to rise 15 percent through the year 2010.
W. R. Brunner, XPEL's Chairman and CEO, commented, "This is an exciting addition to our already substantial database of computer generated automotive paint and headlight protection products. Making Motor Home patterns a part of our offering gives X-Pel(TM) Dealers one more opportunity to sell and install alternative protection products." Mr. Brunner further commented, "We continue raising the value bar for those individuals seeking to become a part of this dynamic industry. We believe with certainty that when all the research and due diligence is complete, these same individuals will quickly determine XPEL as being the best possible partner to have in the vehicle paint and headlight protection business. Our product development, training, delivery and remote manufacturing system, customer care, marketing support and associated large-scale consumer awareness activities are simply unequalled."
Timothy A. Hartt, XPEL's Senior Vice President, stated, "The incorporation of these designs into our database for use by our DAP Dealers is a seamless transaction. When DAP users launch the software, they will be presented with these just like any other product updates that typically occur on a daily basis. Also, since we have deployed three full-time product design teams, our ability to maintain and supplement these Motor Home patterns along with the rest of our database of products has become more proficient than ever before."
