PEE Channel Takes on Motorcycle Designer & Dealer Rick Fairless' Strokers Dallas for New Reality Biker Show

DALLAS--Nov. 1, 20045, 2004--For all you tried and true bikers or wanna-bes, get ready for the ride of your life! Veteran custom bike builder Rick Fairless and his popular Dallas biker bar and dealership Strokers will be the main attraction for a new entertainment reality mini-series by PEE Channel that will cruise to the airwaves this February.

"This is going to be a motorcycle show like no other," said PEE Channel VP of Programming Robert Ecker. "Rick and Strokers are authentic originals and the show that bears these names will be, too. Rick has not gotten where he is by playing it safe and being complacent; this program will reflect his daring, his one-of-a-kind personality and his off-beat, edgy sense of humor. We intend to take everyone's notion of so-called 'reality shows' and spin it into something entirely new and unexpected."

The show's setting takes place primarily at Fairless' 35,000-sq-ft. Strokers pad, which includes his custom fabrication shop for one-off bikes, a bar and grill called Strokers Ice House, and an art-deco motorcycle and apparel dealership.

"Rick and the gang at Strokers are truly a bunch of characters. They build awesome customs, but it's the day-to-day craziness there that's going to make this like no show you've ever seen," said Brad Kimmel, CEO of Bradley David Productions, the creator and producers.

Thousands of riders visit Strokers Dallas every week. They come to check out Rick's latest creations, see "Mama Fairless" flipping her burgers or revel in the bikini contests and all the other activities held nearly every day of the week. Fairless recently was tapped to join the Easyriders Centerfold Tour and can be seen in Choppers: Heavy Metal Art, a new book by Michael Lichter.

"I've always said that Strokers was made for television," said Rick Fairless. "I'm just thrilled for all my family members who have helped me build this place and for my staff. We think PEE viewers and motorcycle enthusiasts will really enjoy the show. What's not to like --- Strokers is like a motorcycle rally every day of the week!"

More details on the show will be released in January.

Rick Fairless is one of the motorcycle industry's longtime custom bike builders whose custom rides have won major industry awards and have been featured in popular consumer magazines. He started Rick Fairless' Strokers Dallas (formerly Easyriders of Dallas) in 1996 as one of the first custom bike dealerships to land in the 'Big D.' The dealership, which is joined by a fabrication shop on-site along with a bar/restaurant called Strokers Ice House, has become the area's largest destination for custom bikes and a quintessential biker haven. In 2004, Strokers Ice House was voted the best all-around motorcycle hang-out in Texas by readers of Ride Texas Magazine. www.strokersdallas.com
