Steakhouse and Saloon for special paint scheme
CONCORD, N.C. (November 1, 2004) --- Lone Star Steakhouse and Saloon has
joined Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates in a partnership that will
debut on the No. 40 Coors Light Dodge at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The
No. 40 will be adorned with the Lone Star Steakhouse and Saloon logo for
the November season ending event.
"I am excited that we could bring Lone Star Steakhouse to the team,"
team owner Felix Sabates said. "Jamie Coulter (CEO) and I have been
good friends for a long time and I am hoping that this partnership could
blossom into more races for the future."
The No. 40 Dodge will be black with red and white accents and will
feature the Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon logo on the hood and the deck
lid as well as the rear quarter panels. The Coors Light logo will
appear on the rear bumper and lower rear quarter panel.
Lone Star first opened in October 1989 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
There are currently 268 Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloons, 15 Sullivan's,
six Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak Houses, 20 Texas Land & Cattle
restaurants and one Frankie's Italian Grille.
Marlin currently sits 20th in NASCAR NEXTEL Cup championship points. In
four starts at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Marlin has had two top-10
finishes, his highest being fifth in 2001.
Sterling Marlin will race his Lone Star Steakhouse and Saloon/Coors
Light Dodge in the Ford 400 on Sunday, November 21, 2004. The race will
be broadcast live on NBC television and MRN radio.
