Force Protection, Inc. Continues Shipment of Armored Vehicles

LADSON, S.C.--Nov. 1, 20045, 2004--Force Protection, Inc. (OTCBB:FRCP), the leading U.S. manufacturer of mine and blast protected vehicles for military and security personnel, continues to increase its rate of production as it announces the shipment of another 4x4 Cougar Hardened Engineer Vehicle (HEV) to the U.S. Marines.

"Force Protection's vehicles fill the critical need of protecting our troops and saving lives," said CEO Gale Aguilar. "The number of vehicles in active operations in Iraq, those soon to be shipped, and the backlog of orders for more are all evidence that our armed forces look to Force Protection now more than ever for vehicles that protect against the threat of landmine attacks and IEDs. We are proud to meet this need for our troops."

The Cougar H series is a family of medium-size mine protected vehicles that can be supplied in 4x4 or 6x6 layout. The vehicles can be configured for a wide range of tasks including troop transport, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), command and control, reconnaissance and lead convoy vehicle. The vehicles have been used in the United States and by the British Ministry of Defense in both Kosovo and Iraq.

The Cougar HEV is designed to protect personnel as well as the vehicle's engine and transmission from both ballistic and blast threats and it can be repaired quickly in the field.
