ADP Dealer Services Wins Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce 'Right Award' for Workplace Excellence
ADP Division Recognized for Progressive Workplace Practices That Achieve Business Success
HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill., Nov. 9 -- The Dealer Services Group of Automatic Data Processing, Inc. -- a leading provider of dealer management systems (DMS) to car and truck dealers -- has been honored as one of only three recipients of the second annual Right Award for Workplace Excellence.
The Right Award is an initiative of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce and Right Management Consultants. The program is administered by the Chamber's Workplace Excellence Committee and acknowledges organizations that best demonstrate the connection between innovative people practices and business success.
"Extraordinary people practices are about more than offering a great benefits package. They are about engaging employees in powerful and compelling ways to achieve greater profitability and give business a competitive advantage," said R. William Holland, Ph.D., chairman of the Chamber's Workplace Excellence Committee and an executive vice president for Right Management Consultants.
As part of its strategy to retain its motivated and talented workforce, ADP Dealer Services implements proactive measures by which employees can help determine how to improve customer service and the day-to-day work environment. Recently, ADP Dealer Services stepped up and provided additional benefits to their employees as part of their Employer of Choice initiative. This enhancement focused on the critical area of health and employee wellness.
In 2004 ADP added five new on-site employee health and wellness clinics to its roster, including one at the Dealer Services headquarters in Hoffman Estates that extends its service to Dealer Services associates at the Elk Grove Village location. At least one physician and nurse staff each clinic, where employees can get a physical, lab work, EKG's, pulmonary function testing and obtain prescriptions. The clinics also support wellness, physical fitness, disease prevention, health counseling and health promotions activities in the workplace, including onsite massage therapy, health fairs and blood drives.
"The rising cost of health care and the time it takes to see a physician can be enormously frustrating," said Steve Anenen, president of ADP Dealer Services Group. "ADP Dealer Services is pleased to provide our associates with an on-site health clinic that saves them time and money, and enhances their overall well-being. The result is critical for our business success: healthy and productive associates that can best service our valuable customers."
"The award honorees demonstrate that excellent workplace practices, which are often implemented with minimal financial investment, are critical contributors to business success," said Jerry Roper, president and CEO of the Chicagoland Chamber.
ADP Dealer Services presented its award-winning business practices at the Right Award for Workplace Excellence Forum on Thursday, November 4, at the University of Chicago's Gleacher Center.
