Altair Engineering To Present Military Vehicle to Media

TROY, Mich.--Nov. 9, 2004--Altair Engineering will present a prototype vehicle designed for combat support military operations to the media Wednesday, November 10 at noon, at 1820 East Big Beaver, Troy, Michigan. Photo opportunities will be available.

Altair has been involved with the Military Trucks Division of GM Specialty Vehicles to design, engineer, fabricate, build, test and deliver four prototype vehicles in support of the U.S. Army's COMBATT program. These vehicles are based off the C/K (Silverado 2500HD) architecture, and are designed for combat support military operations. Much of the work was performed at Altair's 35,000 square-foot vehicle development laboratory at its world headquarters in Troy, Michigan.

Altair President and CEO Jim Scapa; Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson; and U.S. Army National Automotive Center (NAC) Executive Director Dennis Wend will speak about the program.
