Mobile Productivity Inc. Launches Diagnostic System That Will Revolutionize the Automotive Industry

LAS VEGAS--Nov. 5, 2004--Mobile Productivity Inc. (MPi), a premier automotive diagnostic, repair information and service merchandising company, has developed a highly innovative diagnostic and merchandising solution for the automotive repair industry. The MPi solution addresses one of the largest issues facing the automotive industry today -- the ability to reliably service the increasingly complicated vehicles in a cost-effective and high-quality manner.

MPi's Advanced Repair Guidance Information System (ARGIS(TM)) combines a next-generation diagnostic and technician support tools with a process-driven inspection system to help the modern service centers increase their diagnosis efficiencies. ARGIS was designed to reduce the downtime in vehicle diagnosis by offering:

-- KnowledgeStreaming(TM)

-- Advanced user interface

-- Mobility and connectivity

-- Tool consolidation

-- Event capture/solutions ranking, and

-- Outside system integration

In addition, service centers will benefit from greater sales volume through the system's sophisticated service merchandising capabilities. The ARGIS solution offers features that enable the repair shop to identify additional needed maintenance and repair services and present these services to the customer in a highly professional manner.

Les Silver, MPi CEO/president and former founder and CEO of Newgen Results Corp., states that ARGIS is the culmination of more than a decade of research and development in the area of "workflow-based" knowledge systems. "Studies have shown that technicians who use our system fix vehicles better and faster. The patent-pending KnowledgeStreaming(TM) technologies are at the core of ARGIS. These create a 'knowledge infusion' process which increases quality and reduces 'comebacks.' It also reduces diagnostic and maintenance preparation time by 80 percent and improves overall technician productivity by more than 37 percent," said Silver.

The MPi ARGIS solution is composed of two major features that enable progressive service centers to achieve increased efficiencies. The ARGIS Vehicle Maintenance (ARGIS/VM(TM)) solution is the first to marry diagnostic information from an automobile's onboard diagnostic system with customized and highly structured repair information based on content received from each manufacturer. ARGIS/VM walks the technician step-by-step through the correct diagnostic and repair process via a highly intuitive interface. This solution is delivered on a wireless, tablet-PC platform reaching technicians in the repair bay.

ARGIS Quick Service (ARGIS/QS(TM)) solution is the first to "systematize" the process of developing a customized Treatment Plan for an individual car. This comprehensive report, "Know Your Vehicle(TM)," combines information obtained from physical inspection, scheduled maintenance recommendations, missed maintenance activities, recall notices and technical support bulletins. "Our studies show that between 20 and 25 percent of the consumers bringing their cars in for service will have this inspection performed, and will purchase, on average, over $300 in additional needed services," said Silver.

The powerful combination of ARGIS/VM and ARGIS/QS is the "one-two punch" required to address a service center's productivity, quality and merchandising needs. The end result is happier customers and technicians along with a much more profitable service operation.
