Armor Holdings, Inc. Appoints Tony Russell Chief Technology Officer

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Nov. 5, 2004 -- Armor Holdings, Inc. a leading manufacturer and distributor of security products and vehicle armor systems serving law enforcement, military, homeland defense and commercial markets, announced today that it has appointed Tony Russell to the newly formed executive role of Chief Technology Officer.

Mr. Russell's primary mission will be to ensure that Armor Holdings retains and utilizes its position as a technology leader to improve its competitive position. He will be responsible for developing a clear focus for the Company's research and development teams, coordinating engineering with the Company's various manufacturing teams and evaluating key technologies of acquisition candidates and suppliers to the Company.

Mr. Russell is currently the Managing Director of the Company's German automotive armoring business and will relocate from Bremen, Germany to Cincinnati, Ohio. Prior to that appointment, Mr. Russell was Vice President of Engineering of Armor Holdings Mobile Security Division and was responsible for the testing and development of a variety of ballistic and blast protection systems for all types of vehicle applications. Mr. Russell holds a B.S., M.S. and PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
