Airtex Offers True Engine Management Alternative for Auto Aftermarket Technicians
FAIRFIELD, Ill.--Nov. 3, 2004--Airtex Automotive, one of the world's largest manufacturers of fuel and water pumps, has launched a comprehensive Airtex-brand Engine Management program to serve professional aftermarket technicians.Airtex unveiled details of its EM program today at the 2004 AAPEX automotive aftermarket show in Las Vegas.
"Our customers told us they want a true alternative for engine management components," said Ray Swetman, Airtex's Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "We developed the Airtex-brand Engine Management program because it is important to offer professional automotive technicians and shop owners the broadest possible product coverage -- from a brand trusted for decades."
The Airtex-brand Engine Management Program provides the broadest coverage of any Engine Management supplier, with nearly 25,000 separate parts, or SKUs, and 30,000 by 2005. Airtex EM coverage includes domestic and foreign ignition and fuel components, electronic control modules, HEI coils, relays, valves, actuators, solenoids, electronic voltage regulators, sensors and wire and cable sets.
"We are relentless in making sure we offer the broadest possible lines of components. It's part of our 'first-to-market' strategy of adding parts to serve new vehicles or to quickly respond to new technology adopted by the OEMs," Swetman said.
Airtex EM not only covers automotive applications, but heavy duty, industrial, marine, and agricultural industries as well. Airtex National Sales Manager John Peterson said these products are manufactured to stringent OEM fit, form and function specifications.
In addition to coverage, the full-line Airtex-brand Engine Management program boasts superior availability (97 percent fill rates) and up-to-the-minute shipping responsiveness.
"It's another way Airtex's dedicated sales force can provide a quality parts resource for our professional technician customers," Swetman said. "Airtex Engine Management is certainly a great alternative for today's marketplace," he said.
Airtex is owned by parent company United Components Inc., a billion-dollar automotive aftermarket and OE products designer and manufacturer.
In addition to being the world's largest manufacturer of water and fuel pumps, Airtex supplies the aftermarket with a complete line of water outlets and fan clutches.
