Prolong Puts It All Together for 'The World's Most Powerful Motor Oil'

IRVINE, Calif.--Nov. 2, 2004--Prolong International Corporation (AMEX:PRL) (http://www.prolong.com), a technology driven consumer products holding company and parent of Prolong Super Lubricants, Inc., manufacturer and marketer of patented consumer automotive, commercial/industrial and household products, is introducing a new line of Motor Oils containing patented Prolong Engine Treatment AFMT+(TM) Anti-Friction Metal Treatment at the 2004 AAPEX Show in Las Vegas, NV as an unprecedented entry into the premium high-performance segment.

Prolong has combined premium motor oils with its patented engine treatment technology to achieve what Prolong describes with its fitting new catchphrase as "The World's Most Powerful Oil(TM)." The four weights of Prolong Motor Oil, High Performance 5W-30, 10W-40, 20W-50 for gasoline engines and Diesel Power Formula 15W-40, are all blended with premium grade petroleum, top-of-the-line additive packages and the bonus of the AFMT+ extreme pressure lubrication technology. The two-in-one formula provides both a superior flowing lubricant and an unsurpassed bonding lubricant to maximize performance and protection.

The base oil for each weight has high film strength and a comprehensive additive package that provides maximum protection against viscosity and thermal breakdown, guards against sludge, varnish and rust deposits and includes antioxidants to keep the oil cleaner, longer. The Prolong AFMT+ interacts with an engine's metal surfaces in a molecular and chemical way to create a protective surface layer. This is not a film or coating over the metal. Molecules in the AFMT+ formula are polarized and actually bond with metal surfaces, like a magnet. The result is outstanding friction, heat and wear protection, even at cold weather start-ups.

The 5W-50 meets or exceeds API Service SL and ILSAC GF-3 performance requirements. The 10W-40 and 20W-50 meets or exceeds API service SL performance requirements. The Diesel Power Formula meets or exceeds API Service CI-4/SL and a long list of engine-specific criteria.

"So many of our loyal U.S. and international customers have been asking for this line of Prolong motor oils, but we had to get it right...get it perfect, and we have!" states Prolong President, CEO and founder, Elton Alderman. "I am very proud to introduce these superior motor oils with our patented technology. Race car, big rig, or daily driver, our oil belongs in them all and now 'The World's Most Powerful Oil(TM)' is ready for worldwide distribution."

This is the company's first entree into the motor oils market, but the Prolong brand has a loyal following and the flagship stand-alone Engine Treatment has earned a reputation for quality that the company believes will carry over to the oil. The company believes that previous users of their Engine Treatment will try the two-in-one product because of its convenience and significant consumer value. Prolong also expects a number of consumers who do not currently purchase engine treatments to trade up to their motor oil and get the benefits of a quality motor oil and engine treatment in one.

"One of the most exciting aspects of our motor oil debut is that a whole new segment of car owners are going to become familiar with and then loyal to Prolong lubrication technology," predicts Bill Carlson, Vice President of Sales. "Motor oil consumers who may not always go down the automotive chemicals aisle will now be exposed to the Prolong name and quality."

The production and distribution of motor oils containing Prolong Engine Treatment represents a much anticipated and significant benchmark in the long-term strategy of Prolong's senior management to continually increase the company's brand recognition and lubrication market share. Prolong premium Motor Oils are available in popular domestic and international sizes, all blended with patented Prolong Engine Treatment containing AFMT+ technology. The company has also made the products available in drum sizes for their rapidly growing commercial and industrial customer base.
