Yokohama's PARADA Spec-2 Has Spawned an Entire Trend-Setting Brand

FULLERTON, Calif.--Nov. 2, 2004--

Due to the Success of the Yokohama PARADA Spec-2 Tire, Yokohama Has Developed a Brand That Fits the Ever-Changing Trends of the Specialty Aftermarket Automotive Industry

At this year's SEMA show Yokohama will introduce its PARADA brand to the people who made it possible. Within the brand will be three trend-setting tires, the famed PARADA Spec-2, the PARADA Concept-D and the PARADA Concept-SUV. The two concept tires can be seen along with the PARADA Spec-2 at the Yokohama booth in the PARADA Zone.

The PARADA Spec-2, which enabled the PARADA brand to come alive with its high market share in the 18" & 19" inch category, is also expanding into the popular sport of drifting as well as drag racing with the PARADA Concept-D. Yokohama is also venturing into the high-style, high-rim-diameter SUV application market with the PARADA Concept-SUV, providing the kind of unique look owners demand to match their high-dollar custom wheels.

"We're pleased to be able to introduce PARADA as a brand to the SEMA crowd that has allowed the tuner industry to grow into what it is today," said Art Michalik, director of communications for Yokohama Tire Corporation. "Our tires have been sought after by the tuner/sport compact custom car trend setters since before it was an industry; now Yokohama is able to devote an entire brand to this group."

Yokohama Tire Corporation manufactures, markets and distributes a complete line of products for high-performance, light truck, passenger car, commercial truck and bus, as well as off-the-road mining and construction applications. Yokohama supports the tire care and safety guidelines established by the Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA) and the National Highway Transportation and Safety Administration (NHTSA).
